First Chapter, Last Line!
A lot's going on right now.
I'm trying to get back to my old job.
My laptop's fan is going haywire - not fun. I'm backing up my writing so if it crashes I won't be totally lost if I have to buy a new one.
I'm still writing - a lot, in fact. I finally have some peace between finding a daycare for the kids and waiting to hear on my start date, so I'm gradually becoming productive again.
The downside to that is, it's been so long that I'm hopping between a lot of projects. A full revision. A sequel. Another sequel. A short story for an anthology (fingers crossed, I'm still a hopeful!). Another full revision.
But then this popped up on my Twitter feed:

And I thought it'd be fun to show you guys what I'm up to. The final lines to the first chapter of every open project I have.
I'm not sure y'all are ready for this level of crazy, but we're doing it! (I'm sure you'll even recognize one!)
WIP 1:
But in her head, she never stopped screaming.
WIP 2:
In a guttural voice, amber eyes never leaving hers, the stranger said, “War, second of the Four Horsemen, at your service.”
WIP 3:
She might be ugly, but unlike her sisters, Joan was free.
WIP 4:
Once the police are done with me, I have to comb this enormous city and find her.
WIP 5:
And I certainly was never a queen.
WIP 6:
“I killed the wrong guy.”
WIP 7:
He and Braeden had to make every moment count.
WIP 8:
Only wind and the barest spatters of rain answer me, like heaven is crying.
Yeah. So many things. Perhaps all the things.
But I'm loving every last project.
Are you writing? Want to share the last line of your first chapter? Please leave them in the comments, no context, just pure writing fun!
